Elijah Gimbel takes center stage to share remarks in support Longscarf’s innocence. The party remains on standby to perform, except for Scraat busy planting incriminating evidence and mocking notes, dubbing Elijah “Small Balls”
On Stage
Chappy plays music while Fert showcases his athleticism with fire effects from Smurk. The crowd goes wild for these three. Off to the side, Scraat throws torches at Templeton who misses the catch twice, rather Templeton is hit in the chest. The audience laughs. And Templeton sees that they’re laughing at him, not with him. Seeing Templeton’s discomfort, Chappy steps foward with his music to divert the attention away.
Meanshile, Scraat is handing Gimble a glass of water laced with truth serum. The attempt fails as Gimble never takes a sips while speaking with a group of special guests. Scraat learns the guests are Eladrin from Ellowen serving as attendants to the Arch Fey and overhears Gimbles failed attempt to curry favor in support of Longscarf’s trial. The Eladrin do reveal that the Lord of Antlers was going to preside over the case as adjudicator. Scraat then pins a trackable flower on Gimble’s lapel before leaving the stage.
Post-Performance
The party travels to Templeton’s house to rest. Scraat stays behind to gather intel on the Lord of Antlers, an archfey from the Seelie Court coming to adjudicate Longscarf’s trial between the Adventurer’s Guild and the Mercantile District.
At Templeton’s House
Templeton welcomes the group into his home for stew and rest. There he reveals that only he and his father live here but that home is cared for by Nana Booch, a kind old lady who helped Hedgepaw family since Templeton’s mother passed. It just so happens that Nana Booch surprises Templeton at the door with a basket a freshly baked rolls and kind remarks about how it’s nice to see the young Hedgepaw with friends.
After Nana Booch departs, the party recounts what they’ve learned, discuss more about the Lord of Antlers and review the stolen items from Gimble’s office. The items included a large sun of gold, five onyx shards, a set of four key and three envelopes. The envelopes included:
A letter from Ellowen politely declining Gimble’s urging to support Longscarf’s innocence.
A letter from “2” informing Gimble that the preparations have been arranged.
A map of Fey Ember with four locations marked. One mark being the sewer emtrance where they aprehanded Longscarf.
