Mayor Basil Scrambleton’s Directives

With a firm resolve, Mayor Basil Scrambleton outlines the most critical objectives for the next 24 hours and assigns key responsibilities to his direct reports.

He shares that he will be occupied with welcoming the Archfey's consort and overseeing the public opening of Fey Haven.

  • Councilmember Chester Swiftwind and Captain Lionel Lightfoot are ordered to rally as many Inner Guard members as possible, preparing for a coordinated attack both outside and inside the city walls.

  • Commander Bellamy Shash is tasked with identifying where the enemy will emerge within the city and devising countermeasures.

With a heavy expression, the Mayor turns to the Flame and makes a plea:

The Trial and the Flame’s Role "Can the Flame build the case and prosecute?" he asks, his voice measured yet urgent.

Winning an Archfey trial is notoriously unpredictable—its outcome swayed by the Fey’s temperament, the mood of the court, and the sheer entertainment value of the argument. Every moment leading up to the trial matters. The Flame's growing renown could work in their favor, but only if they present themselves as liberators, not terrorists.

The Mayor explains that violence within Fey Haven is forbidden without the Archfey’s sanction, making it perfectly legal for the Flame to represent the prosecution without retribution. Smirking, he adds, "Gimble won’t see it coming."

About Lord of Antlers

As an Archfey, the Lord of Antlers is a being of raw, ancient power, deeply woven into the very fabric of the Feywild’s primal heart. He is not a ruler of courts like Titania or Oberon, nor a trickster like the Prince of Fools—his domain is older, wilder, and unconcerned with politics. His presence is the deep, eternal rhythm of the natural world: the turning of the seasons, the cycle of predator and prey, the silent wisdom of the forest.

Task 1) Stop the Propaganda

Infiltrate the Ember Times to prevent tomorrow’s issue from spreading another damning story. Uncover any clues that could serve as evidence against the Mercantile District.

Task 2) Investigate University District

Seek answers regarding the death of Councilmember Mavinda Yor and the motives behind his daughter—now in power—withdrawing the University District’s support.

Task 3) Consider the Imprisoned Citizens

Anticipate how the incarcerated citizens might be used as hostages to deter resistance. Ensure their saftey is part of strategy.

Options Presented

Understanding that this request exceeds any duty they owe to the City, Mayor Basil Scrambleton offers the Flame an escape should they choose to take no part in the events to come.

He reveals the existence of a private, hidden train, separate from the main concourse, accessible only through his office. This train leads directly to Fey Glade Crossing, offering them a discreet and immediate way out. They are free to take it at any time.

However, should the Flame choose to stay, they will be gifted the Ember Earrings to aid them in their mission. Additionally, they will receive a Sending Stone, linked to a set held by the Mayor, Chester Swiftwind, and Bellamy Shash, ensuring secure communication throughout the ordeal.

Choices Presented
