Songs of Flame and Ember

The long-awaited Songs of Flame and Ember has officially been released.

The five-track album tells the stories behind the five heroes who became known simply as the Flame (Chappy, Fert, Scraat, Smurk, and Templeton) and the extraordinary paths that ultimately converged in the salvation of the City of Fey Ember.

Background

Six years after surviving the massacre of the Mae procession and escaping into the Feywild, Chappy, Fert, Scraat, and Smurk finally left the safety of Fey Glade Crossing for what should have been a simple journey to Fey Ember. Along the way, they gained an unlikely new companion in Templeton P. Hedgepaw and found themselves drawn into a conspiracy involving the Zhentarim, the Onyx Order, and Adventure District plotting to seize control of the city.

Their exploits earned them the name the Flame, though not initially as heroes. Branded as terrorists and rabble-rousers, they were, in reality, a group of young adventurers who had haplessly stumbled into a conspiracy unfolding before them and found themselves among the few willing or able to stop it.

Songs of Flame and Ember tells the story of what happened next.

Each song follows a member of the Flame as they confront the personal conflicts, histories, and insecurities that shaped them. Their individual triumphs ultimately became part of something much larger: the salvation of Fey Ember and the making of five unlikely heroes who, hundreds of years later, would still be remembered and celebrated by the city they saved.
